Default Why is it Taking so Atrociously Long for all seasons of DS to be Released on DVD?!!

Does anyone know?

I've seen more seasons of other shows released on DVD at once, such as The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, Andy Griffith and others.

Why this process so blastedly slow?!!!!!

Slow process usually means="Low DVD sales"

You'd think though, that since Strokes was very immensely popular and lasted from the late '70s to about the mid '80s, that they would put more seasons of the show out on DVD.

Case in point;

Look how many seasons of House of Payne are out on DVD. And Gary Coleman was much more popular as a child actor back then than the stars of Payne today!!

Not putting the House of Payne stars down at all. I like then all!! But Gary was also a big star in his own right! He was the main star of the show because all his fans and TV viewers loved his outspoken very sassy talk on the show.

Looks like they just conveniently forgot about Gary, and they want to erase any memories of him, since sadly, he's no longer with us!!!!!

House of Payne is currently on cable which makes it relevant even though it's a sh***y show. Different Strokes on the otherhand is not on cable, or digital TV so lots of people don't know about it. It was last seen on cable in 2006/2007. So it's a higher chance that HOP DVD would sell a lot better because it's a 2012 show versus Different Strokes which is a 1978 show that has been missing in syndication for 6 years.

I don't fing HOP that bad.

Other shows from the '70s weren't on cable either. Only in syndication or reruns.

A show being on cable is called syndication. Reruns=syndication

These are the shows from the 70's that are complete on DVD and not in syndication

Barney Miller
Mary Tyler Moore

House of Payne is ok. I love Diff'rent Strokes and I haven't seen it in years. I haven't bought any DVDs yet but this a show that I definitely plan to get. Sony is notorious for starting a show then not finishing it. It's not always poor sales. I'm just glad Shout has picked DS up. I just hope they don't get stuck with it like they did with The Facts of Life. Hopefully, we'll see Season 4 in November or December and I hope they can finish up the series by late 2013/early 2014.

Soon Barney Miller will be entering syndication again. It will join the Antenna TV fall schedule.
