Default Reply here if you have shows complete on DVD and still watch them on Cable

I have all the seasons of Three's Company on DVD and I still watch the show on TV Land. The same thing with Good Times and Sanford when I watch them on TV One

My reason is because my DVD collection is not organized and I would have to search for season I want to watch.

What other reason could there be???

Take a afternoon and put them in order LOL. Do you throw the cases away after you buy the DVDs?

No they are all still in the case just not in order. I think it's a lot of work and I;m only willing to do it if it's a new dvd I just bought like with Different Strokes tomorrow. I just wish all eps can be on ONE DISC somehow and I don't have to keep taking one disc out and getting the other one

You are making it sound like such hard work.

And to answer your original question. Yes I still watch tv shows on TV that I have complete on DVD. I even DVR old shows, but that's only because we have 2 TV's in my house and someone is always watching something, so I watch my recorded shows at night.

Also remember when you put a DVD in you can't just hit play and start watching. You have to wait for all that other sh&t in the beginning to end first and then select the episode

Most of the time you can hit FF, but the advantage of the DVD episodes is that the episodes are uncut and you don't have to keep hitting FF to go through the commercials.

I have all seasons of TC from Cindy onwards.

Sometimes I watch when it's on TV since it's the funniest sitcom EVER!

I have all the seasons of Frasier, Full House and Seinfeld and I still watch those on cable. I think mostly Frasier but that's just because it's always on. I do watch the DVD's though. Seinfeld... I've watched every episode on DVD at least twice but I haven't watched them in a long time (on DVD). Just been busy watching more Frasier I guess. Most of the time if I watch Frasier on DVD, it's for a certain episode that I"m writing a story about. One of these days I'm going to watch them all in order (again), because there are some that I haven't seen in forever.

Did you buy the complete series of Seinfeld or all the individual seasons?

When I was in junior high school, I watched The Simpsons in a similar manner to how you watch Frasier - I watched EVERY telecast (sometimes it was on thrice a day back then), despite gradually adding to my DVD collection!

I can't say I do this today with any show I own on DVD, though.

I pretty much watch all my favorite shows on cable even the ones I own on DVD too. I own some of Full House and just the other day an episode came on from a season I already own and I still watched it since there was nothing else I wanted to watch on.

I still watch I Love Lucy and Sex in the City when on tv. Some shows, like Frasier I hate watching the first seasons on DVD because there isnt a "play all" option so you have to play every episode individually and I like to put a DVD on and fall asleep watching it, which the play all button is needed for that! :P
