Just watched this case and I find it so sad. I hope the man found some sort of peace after reaching the other side as he must of been in a pretty desperate situation in life to end it the way he did.

I always find Jane/John Doe's really sad as well as really baffling. What ever happened to care in the community where you notice that you haven't seen a neighbor in a few days and go and check they are ok.

Alot of these unidentified people must have some family or friends, why on earth are they not reported missing n

~This case also made me sad. Im sure somewhere out there he does have a family or friends who are wondering what happened to him. The church seemed to really take him in and care for him as if he was on of their own. I'm sure this man did not expect services and he did receive them.

I don't do religion but it really did pull at my heartstrings the way it was portrayed how the church done things and obviously the congregation must of put the word out to ensure that they where not going to let the poor man have a funeral with only a few people there.

Cases like that really bother me. I'm lucky, I'm real close to my parents and even though I'm a fully grown woman and run a business with them, if they can't get hold of me after trying to call 3 times in a day (I live 115 miles away from them and the business) they are ready to start calling the local police by mine and having them knock round to make sure I'm ok.

On some sites there are e-fit photos of people who's bodies have been found years ago and I always wonder why nobody seems to have noticed them missing which then bothers me as I wonder how much of a lonely life they must of led when they where alive and nobody should have to live that way

I feel the same exact way since I'm an atheist. Obviously I dont do the church/religion thing but the fact that they took him in as their own and tried to find out who he was or where his family was says a lot. I feel the same way about various Jane/John Does cases. UM also had one that had a bunch of unidentified Jane Does (mostly). It amazes me how no one can identify them. Surely they have a mother, sister, aunt, uncle, father, cousin anybody who knows them or knows they are missing. Especially when they are young. The older ones I understand most of their family probably already passed away.

Exactly.
There was a case not too far from my home a few years ago where and elderly woman's body was found in her house and she had passed away months prior to being discovered.
I think it was a postman who was new on the round who raised the alarm due to months of mail piling up behind the door.
The old girl had 9 children, yes 9 of them. Even if she was the most difficult woman in the world, you'd think they could at least call her every few weeks just to make sure she was ok even if the call was only 10 seconds long.
Bet they all flocked to her will reading :s

Unfortunately this segment is not included in the amazon release. It doesn't even have an entry on the Unsolved website. I wonder why they felt compelled to scrub this segment from existence.

I don't get it either. I really like that segment and it was very odd and interesting.

You can find a Facebook post by the official Unsolved Mysteries account about this case from 2015. I don't believe it has been solved yet. It seems really odd that they wouldn't want to keep this open. The only thing I can figure is if they did identify the body and his family wanted it kept secret.

I've always wondered based on how and where he committed suicide if it had something to do with the abuse in the Catholic church. Perhaps he was a victim of abuse, or perhaps he participated in or protected someone involved. Obviously he was troubled by something, but wanted to still be accepted by the church.
