Default My Thoughts Revisions and Things I Put Together (please read)

OK at school between thinking about The Periodic Table and Julius Caesar and all that I had time to think about NAN,TVL,and well....the whole classic reruns area. This is what I think. These are my Thoughts Revisions and Things I Put Together:

First I'll start with Nick at Nite:

I think every show on NAN except for "Family Ties","Cheers" and the upcoming "Cosby Show" should move to TVLand. That means "Three's Company","The Brady Bunch","The Jeffersons" and "All in the Family" would be on TVLand.
"Cheers" should then make the move to USA.Maybe one of their morning shows? The shows on NAN after that would be the Revenge of the '80s shows. That means "Diff'rent Strokes","Silver Spoons","The Facts of Life","ALF","227" and "Square Pegs" would be their shows along with "Family Ties","Webster","Gimme a Break!" and "Benson".This is what I'd make the sked look like:
Note:I made the sked start at 7:30pm central
Monday-Thursday
7:30:"The Cosby Show" (1984-92)
8pm:"Family Ties" (1982-89)
8:30:"The Facts of Life" (1979-88)
9pm:"ALF" (1986-90)
9:30:"Diff'rent Strokes" (1978-86)
10pm:"Silver Spoons" (1982-87)
10:30:"227" (1985-90)
11pm:"Gimme a Break!" (1981-87)
11:30:"Benson" (1979-86)
12am:"Family Ties" (1982-89)*
12:30:"Silver Spoons" (1982-87)*
1am:"The Cosby Show" (1984-92)*
1:30:"ALF" (1986-90)*
2am:"The Facts of Life" (1979-88)*
2:30:"Diff'rent Strokes" (1978-86)*
3am:"Gimme a Break!" (1981-87)*
3:30:"Benson" (1979-86)*
4am:"227" (1985-90)*

Friday/Saturday
9pm:"Webster" (1983-89)
9:30:"Square Pegs" (1982-83)
10pm:"Gimme a Break!" (1981-87)
10:30:"Benson" (1979-86)
11pm:"Silver Spoons" (1982-87)
11:30:"The Facts of Life" (1979-88)
12am:"ALF" (1986-90)
12:30:"Diff'rent Strokes" (1978-86)
1am:"227" (1985-90)**
1:30:"Family Ties" (1982-89)**
2am:"The Cosby Show" (1984-92)**
2:30:"Gimme a Break!" (1981-87)*
3am:"The Facts of Life" (1979-88)*
3:30:"Square Pegs" (1982-83)*
4am:"Webster" (1983-89)*

Sunday:This would be a night where other shows from the eighties would air.
8pm:"Day by Day" (1989-90)
8:30:"Double Trouble" (1984-85)
9pm:"Three's a Crowd" (1984-85)
9:30:"My Two Dads" (1987-90)
10pm:"Life with Lucy" (1986-87)
10:30:"Punky Brewster" (1984-87)
11pm:"Hello, Larry" (1979-80)
11:30:"The New Leave it to Beaver" (1985-89)
12am:"The Cosby Show"
12:30:"Family Ties"
1am:"The Facts of Life" **
1:30:"ALF"**
2am:"Diff'rent Strokes" **
2:30:"Silver Spoons" **
3am:"227" **
3:30:"Gimme a Break!" **
4am:"Benson" **

'**' Means that an episode form the week that just past airs.
'*' Means that it's the episode that aired that earlier.
So this would be NAN's show roster:
THE COSBY SHOW
FAMILY TIES
THE FACTS OF LIFE
ALF
DIFF'RENT STROKES
SILVER SPOONS
227
GIMME A BREAK!
BENSON
WEBSTER
SQUARE PEGS
DAY BY DAY
DOUBLE TROUBLE
THREE'S A CROWD
MY TWO DADS
LIFE WITH LUCY
PUNKY BREWSTER
HELLO, LARRY
STILL THE BEAVER/THE NEW LEAVE IT TO BEAVER
That's 19 shows!!!!!
Alot better 6!!!!
I know I will get a lot of complaints about changing it to strictly 80s shows. But I think as the years go by more and more shows become classics. That's why NAN's new slogan would be "All 80s....All the Time".

Now TVLand:

First I would only add four new shows."Three's Company","The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis","The Brady Bunch" and "Cagney and Lacey" not to mention a return of "The Bob Newhart Show" and "Chico and the Man".I'd move "Twice as Nice" to Saturdays.I wouldn't take out any shows. Here's the sked I put together:
ALL TIMES C-E-N-T-R-A-L!!!!
Monday-Friday
4am:"Gunsmoke" (1955-75)

And now Hallmark:

I'll take this channel and make better than it is.First I'd replace that hour of "Bewitched" and "I Dream of Jeannie" with an hour of....."Family Affair"."ALF" would be on NAN so that'll take care of that problem. So the weekday comedies would be "My Three Sons","Bewitched","I Dream of Jeannie" and "Family Affair".The weekend comedies would be "The Mothers In-Law","That Girl","Julia" and "Gilligan's Island".On Sundays the "Mothers In-Law" hour would be replaced with "Here Come the Brides".Now for DRAMA:"Hart to Hart" would air everyday at it's 6:00pm central time with a repeat at 11:00pm central."Dr.Quinn Medicine Woman" would follow after both showings. Then "Eight is Enough" after those two showings. Then a movie after the two "8's Enuff" eps.The weekends would have "The Nancy Drew Hardy Boys Mysteries" in "H2H"'s spot.In "Dr.Quinn"'s spot I'd put an hour of "Rescue 911" then after that I'd put "The Color Honeymooners".Then "The Flip Wilson Show" and "The Carol Burnett Show".This is how the sked would be to make it more understandible:

I'd keep both Cheers and Taxi on N@N or TV Land. I like those shows.

USA Network doesn't have anything good on anymore. They took off Wings, those morons!!!

Angry??? LOL

Well, as long as we're ranting....

That's me and the morons at TV Land who saw fit to dump Adam-12, Emergency!, and Dragnet. At least Hogan's Heroes is still on!!!

I think your schedule looks pretty good. I would also add some real oldies though....Hazel, Father Knows Best, Donna Reed Show, Life of Riley, Ozzie & Harriet, My Little Margie...and a few others from that time frame.

However, as a mother, I need to say this! Pay attention in class! LOL

What does everyone have against "Cheers?" Seriously.

Looking at people's "dream skeds," "Cheers" is either banished to 3 in the morning or thrown in the mix with wonderful USA Network morning fare such "Living Single," "Jesse," and the Peabody Award-Winning "Hey, Remember Us; We Only Ran Half A Season On The WB."

I think lots of you have chips on your shoulders because "The Facts Of Life" was dropped from Nick At Nite's schedule in favor of "Cheers," hence the desire for all "Cheers" negatives to be thrown into a furnace.

Or maybe they just don't like Cheers. I perfer Cheers over Facts of Life, personally, but a lot of people here feel differently and that's fine with me.

But the question is does Cheers really fit with those shows?
I'd put it on USA.It'd probably get the same time slot anyway.
