The son of Sylvester Stallone has died, according to several news reports. 36-year-old Sage Stallone was found in a Hollywood apartment Friday afternoon, his attorney confirmed to The New York Post.

Sage made his acting debut alongside his father as Rocky Balboa’s son in Rocky V. He was planning on getting married, the attorney said. His mother is Sasha Czack, who was once married to Sylvester Stallone.

His father, who has been at Comic-Con to plug his upcoming Expendables 2 has been informed of his son’s death, TMZ reports.

No cause of death has been made publicly available.

Sage Stallone -- Sylvester Stallone's son -- has died and sources tell us the cause was an overdose of pills.

The details surrounding the death are still unclear .. but we're told he was found in his L.A. apartment by either a maid or his girlfriend. Paramedics were called to the home and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Sources tell us authorities are trying to determine if the death was intentional or accidental.

We're told Sylvester is a "wreck."

Sage famously made his film debut alongside his father in the 1990 movie "Rocky 5" -- playing the role of Rocky's son Robert Balboa.

My prayers go out to Sylvester Stallone. Who is one of my favorite actors of all time and, to his entire family. What an awful tragedy.

My heart goes out to Sylvester Stallone and his family. There is nothing more tragic or more heart breaking than for a parent to have their child die before them.

Sage Stallone died of natural causes and with no drugs in his system, according to a report from TMZ.

A source connected with the L.A. County Coroner told the site there was evidence Stallone suffered from heart disease, and that such advanced heart problems were “unusual” for someone his age. He was 36 at the time of his death.

Previously, Stallone’s mother speculated prescription drugs might have played a role in her son’s death, as she said he was taking painkillers following dental surgery. Investigators found empty pill bottles in Stallone's apartment.

Stallone, son of Sylvester Stallone, was found dead in his apartment July 13, though he may have been dead for several days. He was mourned in a private ceremony July 21 in Brentwood, Calif.
