It has been a couple of years since i seen the later seasons of this show, did mother jefferson die on the show i mean she was already old in the first season how much longer could she have lived on the show, or was she alive in all 11 seasons of the show.

She left in the middle of season four. She passed away. They did not have a funeral on the show. A reference was made in the opening of the new sesaon when George said "me and mama were close".

She died toward the end of season 4. She had missed the entire 3rd season due to her health

Everybody has that person that bugs them on the internet lol, does anyone no how she died was it because of old age or cancer.

That's too bad.

Zara Cully was the funniest old lady character I've ever seen on ANY show! She should've lived longer and the Jefferson would've been even beter for it!
