The place with the red and white table cloths is where Alex took his blind date and now I;m watching a episode when the entire Sunshine Crew was in that same place having a beer.


Is that place kind of like what the Reagle Beagle was on Three's Company?

Yeah, it was called Mario's and it was right next door to the Sunshine Cab company.

So why did Alex take his overweight Blind Date to Mario's knowing that it was a chance he would be seen with her?

I figured something was ODD when he was on the date and Tony and Bobby shows up out of nowhere. Now I know why, "neighborhood Hangout"

It seemed like in the beginning of the show, they (the writers, producers) didn't know where Mario's was. Alex even mentions in an early episode that he doesn't know why he always goes there, he almost never has a good time. Then I think they decided that Mario's was located next to the cab company.

That's what I think, anyways. As for Tony and Bobby showing up, they knew Alex was going to be there because he announced it to the garage.
