Hi All,
I know there was a thread on here that had pictures of the locations where certain "Unsolved Mysteries" cases took place, but is there a thread that has photo's of the graves of the victims or ppl interviewed on UM? I tried searching but got an error msg. Maybe I'm the only morbid one who is actually thinking about this

No, I've searched the Find a Grave site for UM people. I don't know if there's a thread.

I don't know if we actually have a specific thread on the topic. I'm a findagrave member and photograph and document graves in some local cemeteries, particularly small older ones. I also maintain pages for some of my family members and take photos for folks who request them. I don't find it to be morbid, although I can understand why some folks would consider it to be strange or even disrespectful. It's an interesting topic to me, as I feel it gives us a connection to our history.
Regarding UM and Find A Grave, I think this is Sammy Wheeler's page: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg...926102&df=all& |

I hope the purpose of this thread isn't to actually go grave hunting. I'd feel kind of weird walking up to a grave of someone I didn't even know.

Find A Grave is mostly to help ppl who are usually working on family trees and what not. They send requests for a photo of the grave if they don't live in the same state or city where their relative is buried. for example, I'm in El Paso and most of the photo requests are for ft.bliss national cemetery. I don't think its creepy, i find it interesting

Mark Groezinger is memorial number (I cant post links):
27124059 I tend to think its the same man despite being buried in IL as the name isnt so common, the death date and age are right. So the other one on there with no cemetery link is probably a duplicate. Also note that there is a blank space for 'Judy' same woman as in the segment. Sick irony. I think of all the UM cases, his was one of the most striking travesties and I am amazed they never arrested his 'loving' wife or gf or whatever she was. |

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg...&GRid=27124059 I do agree that it is pretty surprising that Judy is set to be buried alongside Mark and his parents when dies, since she is still the #1 suspect in his murder! However, during the UM segment, Mark's brother actually said he had a hard time believing Judy could have been responsbile, so maybe the Groezinger family still genuinely believes she's innocent. It wouldn't be the first time a guilty-looking person's in-laws have openly supported them on UM (see also Stephen Marfeo and Michael Haim). |

Totally agree! I am very interested in genealogy myself. Plus, I think most of us would like to pay our respects to the UM victims who met an early demise. I also think since some of us have watched certain episodes so many times we might feel as if we actually know the person. (just a thought!). I also came across Grozinger's grave and it is kinda weird she is to be buried next to him when she dies. Go figure.. |
