Default I got my copy of Benson season 1.

I am watching Benson season 1, as we speak. What a hilarious show. I’m only one episode in, but I can't stop laughing. This crazy lady tells Benson no left overs in the house, then basically threatens to kill him If she ever sees left overs in or around the house area. Benson is obviously a little scared too. And he actually runs, when she catches him with the left overs after saying they we're for the dog. I think the only thing I could remember from this show when I was a kid was Benson’s voice lol

It just keeps getting better with each episode. In this one, Benson dresses up like the president of some foreign country. The family finds out that there is a hit man in the house. The hit man is trying to kill the president of that country. And at the moment everyone thinks that is Benson. The cook aka the crazy lady, that doesn’t get along with Benson. Actually ends up saving his life. She beats the hit man with a cane. Wraps it around his neck and throws him out of the house. At the end Benson gives her a gift for saving his life. She says but this is worth so much more.

I am on the second disk now, and I must say this is one of the funniest shows ever. Benson should for sure be on my funniest characters of all-time list. All the other characters are great too; especially miss Crowes and the little girl.

I saw it when I was a little kid. But as much as I remember of it, this might as well be the first time. The only thing I could really remember of it was Benson’s voice lol

Well enjoy it. Benson is one of the great sitcoms of the 80's. It has a great cast too. It's too bad that it been gone from TV for so long.

Thanks, and I agree. It should definitely be on in syndication somewhere.

Awesome! I always love to hear from new fans of the show. Yes, it's pretty unfortunate that the show isn't aired on a regular basis like some other shows. I liked it a lot as a kid and I am glad that getting older hasn't soured me on it.

Feel free to participate in the episode threads as well (I did every Season 1 episode and have just started Season 2). Although you may have to dig a little to find them, they are all there.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks and, Ok I will look around for the episode thread. I am so glad. I was able to rediscover this show. It has been one of the best finds. I’ve been able to get my hands on, in quite some time. I am curious what does the actor, which played Benson do now days?

I am pretty sure he is retired these days and enjoying life. He did suffer a stroke back in 1998 or 1999 but seems to have recovered pretty well from it. He has a web site where you can actually send him an e-mail and he will probably answer you. (He answered mine. )

Have to enjoy these actors while they are still around. As we just saw with Andy Griffith, they don't last forever.

That is sad to hear about him having a stroke. But I am glad to hear that he has recovered. I will visit his web site and Wikipedia see what else I can find out.

Yeah, I know none of us get to live forever, R.I.P to the great Andy Griffith.
