Default Remember this one? The Town That Dreaded Sun Down?

Any body remember this 76 horror flick The Town Thar Dreaded Sun Down? Starring Mary Wells from Gilligan's Island fame as Mary Ann?

Yeah I remember that one, it was based on a true story. Creepy movie (and great title!)

I finally watched it last night on THISTV, I never got around to watching it before. I was curious about the real killer so I looked it up on the internet. The movie didn't say they had a suspect in custody and when they arrested him,the killings stopped.

One of my favorites - though I haven't seen it in a while.

Hopefully SCREAM Factory (Shout! Factory) can get the rights since this hasn't been released on DVD.

"Potato Sack" Jason from Friday the 13th: Part 2 got his look from this killer.

James just mentioned it. It's basically a new Horror genre division of Shout! Factory.

I saw it a couple of years ago and it was a pretty good movie, the kill scenes were quite frightening.

The director, Charles Pierce, also did those "Boggy Creek" movies and one called "The Evictors," which is another thriller that takes place in the 40's. The Evictors is a really good movie that has some decent plot twists. If you can find it, watch it.

The Evictors is excellent, it's available on Netflix Instant.

And Friday The 13th part 2 ripped off...er...I mean paid homage to the death scenes from Mario Bava's Bay Of Blood.

I've always been a fan of this one, but the movie never quite lived up to a friend's description of it after he had gone and seen it at the drive-in way back when. Camping out in the backyard, and he told us about the film, scared the bejeebus out of me.

It's happening!

Scream Factory (Shout! Factory) has announced that The Town That Dreaded Sundown is coming out, as well as The Evictors.

They didn't specify DVD, Blu-ray, or Combo. Set and said to keep checking back for further updates.
