I seen the show every now and then but i am going to start buying the first 3 seasons when i get money it looks like a good show even if Becker looks like a grimlin dosent that guy ever smile lol, yeah i was wondering i forget his name but how did the black man become blind did they ever mention it on the show was he born blind or did he just random lose his eye sight.

There was an episode which explains it. I'm not sure which episode it was, but he lost his sight after getting into a car accident which was caused by his friend who was driving while drunk. The friend comes back asking for forgiveness and Jake is unwilling to accept it at first.

feel sorry for the blind man tho it must suck not being able to see other people when talking to them and using a cane everywhere you go in the streets its also dangerous if your by yourself more chance of being attacked by thugs.
