Default I am boycotting Nick at Nite, effective February 1

Remember the good old days of Nick at Nite? Remember the great classic shows they had in the early and mid-1990s? Since the 21st Century has begun, they have gone absolutely way downhill. I remember when they used to air great shows like Mork and Mindy, Mister Ed, Rhoda, the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Get Smart, among others. That was a long time ago. Nowadays, they just plain stink. They refuse to listen to fans, they make false promises, and they are airing shows that are still in syndication on many local stations in the country. They also air Kids Say the Darndest Things when they just announced that Diff'rent Strokes is coming back. It is unfortunate how one great station has understandable confused fans leaving the station in droves.
Starting Friday morning at 12:00 midnight (pacific time), I am boycotting Nick-at-Nite. I refuse to watch it. I used to like the network, but now TV Land is a better alternative. If anybody agrees with my opinion about Nick-at-Nite, feel free to post a reply.

I watch TV Land all the time anyway. Turn on Nick at Nite once in a blue moon.

Boycotting N@N won't change the programming but I could see why you want to. N@N doesn't care about what the people think. They just pick what they think will get the best ratings. They are picking up shows too quickly in a couple of years they will be airing full house and roseanne. They have to stop right now! They should only be able to put shows on that premiered before 1985....

I understand that one person boycotting NAN won't do any good, but with the way NAN is going, I don't think anybody would watch it anymore. I have seen I don't know how many complaints on these message boards about NAN and I can see that I am not alone when I say I hate the Cheers Network.

Why do you hate cheers? Why does everyone on this board hate it? Its really a good show? Is it because they play it the most? I don't understand.....

I do like Cheers. It is one of my favorite shows. But where I live, I can catch the show on KUSI in San Diego. It seems out of place on Nick at Nite, though.
I must admit that Cheers is a really good show. It was a great show when it originally aired and it is still a great show today. If Nick at Nite was patient and waited about 5-7 years from now, it would fit the line-up well. It has been nine years since the show's series finale. When Nick at Nite first debuted in about 1985, many of the show's were about 20 years old. The one exception during it's early years was Mork and Mindy. It first aired on NAN in 1991, less than a decade after it was canceled.
I'm sorry if I upset you frasierlilithcheers. I didn't intend to insult Cheers. I certainly didn't mean to offend any Cheers fans.

Me neither. A lot of people say they do; I wish I had their cable systems.

I haven't wathed N@N since......Its so long ago that I can't remember but maybe if enough people stop watching they might change? Who knows with them. As for Cheers I think one of the reasons some people seem to hate it so much is because it takes away from other shows on N@N. Not to mention that those shows aren't on any local channels but Cheers is for most people some people don't and so they watch on N@N. I think if N@N stoped showing as much as it did more people would like it better? I know I would like it a little more.

You've got that right! IMHO none of the other shows on N@N make me laugh like "The Brady Bunch"!
