Default Ashley was the least funny character in the series

She had a few funny moments in the first two or three seasons, but once she got older, she became incredibly tedious. I honestly can't think of many funny moments with her. Probably the funniest moment she ever had was in the pilot episode where she does the rapping prayer.

i thought the fresh prince of bel air could have done better not having ashly on the show she an annoying spoiled little rich girl, i think the reason she turned out to be a jerk in the latter seasons was because of the bad influence will had on her in her life remember in the pilot episode she was quiet and normal then after will came into her life she started getting herself into trouble she was a rebel and out of control its like every scene she is snapping at people lol ,she could be the reason her family moved out of the house in the 6th season.

She was also 11-12ish in the first season and 17-18 in the last. Sweet young girls often hit a rude streak in their teenage years regardless of their financial background. I don't think Will being there had anything to do with it. He was also around Carlton pretty much 24/7, and Carlton didn't have any major personality shift. I think Ashley wasn't that funny because she couldn't carry a storyline on her own.

yeah it was almost impossible for me and other guys that were average in high school to get a girlfriend or even as friends with girls that were 15-18 because by that time they stuck up and have thousands of dudes trying to date them so i had a competition with the other boys

Ashley was there as eye candy at the end.....

Ashley was key in a few memorable episodes like when she switches high schools without telling Uncle Phil, and when she gets caught in the closet with some college runningback

oh and her singing episode featured her in a bikini

YEAH BLACKOUT805 By the time of the sixth and last season of the sitcom she looks like a super model she was eye candy for hormonal teenage boys and grown men she was no different from other girls that age range from 14-22 years of age by the time they are around 23 years old they are more open to date men without being stuck up,the only problem was her additude towards will by this time she thinks he is nothing more than a joke and looks ashamed to be seen with him in public just look at her body language and facial expressions when will does something silly around her in season 5 and season 6 of the show its like she is thinking yuck i cant stand him.

well maybe not when he's taking her out on a double date, no

I totally agree with this. Although she had a few memorable episodes even in the last seasons, like Blackout805, she absolutely was the least funny regular at that point. And I don't think she became that hot either.

Actually, I do think Carlton had somewhat of a personality shift. He seemed way more uptight and reserved in season 1 in comparison to what he became in the later seasons. Carlton became much funnier, IMO, in the later seasons. I don't remember him doing anything like the Carlton dance in season 1.

That's true. And you could also say, that Hilary became more stupid.

Ashly was cool in the first 2 seasons but by the 5th and 6th season she became the self centered girl that would dump her boyfriend in a heartbeat for another guy

I think that Ms. Ali played the role just fine. Ashley was the straight gal when it comes to personality much like Mindy was on "Mork and Mindy". She did not suck at all when it came to playing the role. She did well.
