Question Did You Like Georgette In More Scenes or in Small Doses???

How did you like Georgette Baxter? Featured in storylines or in smaller doses like Sue Ann or Phyllis?

I'd have to answer this question as "just the way TMTMS did it". Georgette wasn't that interesting a character to me, so I wouldn't have wanted to see her as a main character like Mary, Lou, Ted, Murray and Rhoda, but I enjoyed her scenes. I think TMTMS gave us just enough of her; none, occasionally, and a few shows where she was more of the storyline. They did the same with Sue Ann and Phyllis; none, occasionally and a few shows where they were more of the story line.

I think TMTMS had it just about right. She was a sweet and sympathetic character, but I think her naivete might have gotten old if she had much more exposure. If they'd have highlighted her more, she'd would have had to change in order to remain believable, and I think they really wanted her to stay that little china doll type character. Sometimes she did get a good dig in on Ted, though. LOL

Well said. I think you hit the nail on the head. They got it just right.

I agree that the show had the right balance of Georgette's appearances in it.
I just started watching MTM show a couple of months ago and I'm really enjoying watching it. As of now, my fave character is Ted or maybe the way Ted Knight played him
I find Ted and Georgette really sweet together.

Actually, I think there were more episodes with Sueann or Phyllis central in the storyline, where, with Georgette, when she was featured more prominately, the story might have been about Ted AND Georgette.
