Sad R.I.P. mtmshow.com (An Excellent Website About The Mary Tyler Moore Show)

Sad news from the internet world, mtmshow.com has ceased operations. This site was great for old info on this great sitcom. I was shocked when I went there and found that it stopped working.

I hate it when good websites go under like that.

Yeah I know. Granted it wasn't updated since like 2003, but it had so much great info, articles and pictures. The site really fueled my interest in this show.

Archive.org is sort of a repository for the Internet. It's been maintaining a record of everything on the Internet since practically the very beginning back in the '90s. It takes "snapshots" of websites at different periods in time. So, for example, if you want to see what was on a certain website back in 1998, you can do that. If you want to see how it looked ten years later, you can. Archive.org is another reason people should be careful about what they put up on the Internet. Just because a website removes something, or even if the website is removed in its entirety like this one was, that doesn't mean it's really gone. In the real world, things die and go away; on the Internet, they live forever.

Wow that was a great website for a sitcom. It;s a shame it's not a site like that for Three's Company or the Jeffersons

It's a shame that site is gone, but there are other TMTMS sites that are still online & updated. Like this one, for example: http://mtmshow.skycircus.org.

Won't say who the owner is, but I'm pretty sure you guys can guess!
