Default FT Video Questions

I just received my first Columbia House FT video, and it says "you will receieve new videos every 4-6 weeks for 19.95 + S&H"

My question is..... is it 19.95 for EACH new video I recieve or 19.95 for the whole rest of the volume?

Thanks!

Pretty obvious, as it would be very cheap with only $19.95 for 9 videos...!

$19.95 per video is a pretty steep price though...

Angry Re: FT Video Questions

They are charging that much for ONE video?! That's outrageous.

20 bucks! Plus S&H! I am cancelling now... but I'll keep the first video, since it was only 5 bucks. Are these available in stores by any chance?

I wanted to sign up for that video deal from Columbia House, but they say you can only buy the videos if you;re from the USA. I think thats a bit unfair of them.. if there are people out there who want to buy them, why not sell them!! I'd be willing to pay more for the postage etc..

Moe, I agree that it is unfortunate that they only accept orders from the US - I actually believe they don't even accept orders from Canada (at least it was like that in the past).

It would still be complicated outside of the US as everything from Columbia House Video is in NTSC, while we use PAL format here in Europe (both Sweden, where I live, and Ireland) - But since most VCR's nowadays can play NTSC as well, it's not a very big deal...

Unfortunately, no they are not available in regular stores - Columbia House Video is the only official distributor of these videos in North America. Your only other option is to get hold of episodes on tape privately (recorded off TV or similar).

I agree that US $20 is a pretty absurde price for four episodes - $20 is approximately the same as what new movies on home video costs here in Sweden (I have no idea what such things cost in the US though).

They need to release entire seasons on DVD, like 20th Century Fox has with M*A*S*H, and some other series. Then it may be worth it. But $20 for a VHS is pretty steep.

Its such a shame that they dont even make the old series available to buy on video at Amazon..

Ive always vowed anyway, that if ever any of the classic 80s sitcoms are shown again on TV, Im gonna record them all!
