Default Honey West

A few days ago I purchased the DVD set of Honey West, the entire series, and have really got a kick out of it. I do have a couple of questions for discussion:

1. Was Honey West the last American network primetime television series that was NOT a sit-com to be 30 minutes long? Having grown up int he 70's, to my memory, 30 minute shows are always comedies and dramas/action show etc are always 60 minutes. That was nto the case int he early days of tv, when many dramas were only 30 minutes (Twlight Zone, Have Gun Will Travel, etc) but I can't think of a drama or action show after Honey West that was just half an hour. Anyone else?

2. Did Anne Francis perform her own stunts on this show? Usually in tv series from this era, and often even later, female stars were replaced in the stunts with a small thin male stunt-man. Uusally the gender of the stunt-man is pretty obvious. On this show, it looks to me like the stunts, even the most physically challenging ones, are performed by Anne Francis hereself. If there was a stunt double, it was rather - er.... obviously, a female one.

I never saw Honey West but I always wanted to. I do remember a few dramas that premiered after Honey West that was just 30 minutes long. The 2 biggest were probably Adam 12 and the 1967-70 version of Dragnet. The Guns of Will Sonnett which was a western starring Walter Brennan also ran for 2 seasons in the late 60's.

Oh yes, I had completely forgotten about Dragnet 68-70. I rember watching Adam 12 as a small boy, but could not remember if it was 30 or 60 minutes long.

BTW, I highly recommend the Honey West DVD collection, until a few days agao I'd also never seen it before, but bought the collection over the weekend and really enjoy it.

The Rat Patrol was also 30 minutes.

Now that's another one I really should have remembered, since I have the entire series on DVD and it is a favorite of mine. Thanks!
