Default Suzanne Somers was involved in contract issues and demoted on the show so why........

Did the writers gave the new roomate Cindy the last name SNOW? I mean since Suzanne Somers was not reported to work at all to perform her role as Chrissy Snow why would a new roomate be given her last name and called a relative? I thought the purpose of the Chrissy Snow character only appearing in Tag scenes was for viewers to get used to not seeing her anymore.

So it seems like the Cindy character should have had the last name Alden and on the show until the end of the series. Anyone else agree?

I think people like familiarity and having Cindy be a relative would be a good way to introduce her so people would accept her. It worked for me.

I think if they were slowly turning the page on the Snow existence, they should have just did it altogether and introduce a brand new roomate to start a new era

Maybe Terri should have met Jet in season 5-lol

Yeah, it was easiest to introduce a new character as a relative to an old character that we're ALREADY familiar with!

Well she wasn't accepted because she was still an extension of Chrissy snow and viewers probably was tired of thinking Chrissy would return.

I don't know about that.

Cindy's klutziness with Jack was getting old although was fun while it lasted. Terri was just a better roomate than both Cindy or Chrissy so they made the right choice!

I think it's pretty obvious that Jenilee Harrison was just a fill-in, a stopgap measure while the situation with Suzanne Somers played out behind the scenes. So therefore, a "relative" is a very convenient way to fill in the gap created by Somers' walkout.

When Somers was fired and the Chrissy character was gone for good, the producers felt that Jenilee wasn't the right choice for a permanent replacement and went with Priscilla Barnes.

Mainly because she was taller than Jack
