Default Reunion movies may never be officially released.

I asked Shout! on their Facebook page if they ever planned to release the reunion movies and they told me they do not have the rights to them. So it looks like I'll have to get them another way. I highly doubt that Sony will ever put these out--not even on MOD.

That's too bad. Those two made-for-TV movies from 1977 enabled viewers to see that Jim & Margaret still lived in the same house and what had happened to each of the children over the years. Both shows are, of course, in color which gives viewers a first there for the series. The "Home For Christmas" show from December, 1977 was particularly good and provided a final episode of sorts as Bud and his wife buy the family home and Jim # Margaret buy a camper and drive off to see the rest of the country.

well, we know what happened to the daughter that Elinor Donahue played (I forget her name). In the early 60s she moved to Mayberry, north carolina; became the owner of a drugstore and started dating sherrif Andy Taylor.

And after that; in the 70s she moved to New York and into an apt. over Oscar Madison and Felix Unger. And both times she changed her name.

After reading reviews about the source I was going to use, I changed my mind.

And, she didn't stop there. In the early 80's she changed her name, yet again. As evil Nurse Kate Hunnicut she moved to Salem wreaking havoc on the poor folk on Days of our Lives. I think she is still in prison for the dastardly deeds she commited there.

It was actually kind of fun seeing her play the "bad" guy for a change.

After she left Mayberry, and before arriving in New York to be Felix's girlfriend, she took a jaunt in to space to be a Star Fleet ambassador. She stayed on a remote planet and melded with an odd life form up there, so we really don't know how she made it back to New York.

that's right, I forgot about that. (for all the non-trekies, he's reffering to an episode of STAR TREK she did in 1966 or 67-I'm not sure)

Anybody remember what Bud's occupation turned out to be? Mechanic? Maybe it was mentioned in the reunion movie.

It was revealed in the May '77 reunion movie (Sunday, May 15, 1977) that Bud became a professional motorcycle racer. See the article below. All of this is material I scanned a few years ago and posted on a message board:

Thanks so much for the answer! I thought it might have had something to do with motorcycles. I emailed Bill Gray through another site, but never got a reply.

Hopefully Shout Factory will come through! The copies I have aren't very good quality either. Surprised Antenna TV doesn't have the rights to them.
