I'm a fan of Keeping Up Appearances -- the cast is wonderful!!
I've read that Patricia Routledge did a second series -- Hetty Wainthropp Investigates. Has anyone seen any episodes?? |

I've seen them and while there were some Hyacinth moments here and there, IMO, they were somewhat disappointing. Oh, and they featured Dominic Monaghan in his first role as a teen shoplifter Hetty recruited to help her with the legwork.
They were disappointing to me for the reason that conclusions were abruptly reached and what became of the perps/victims often got swept under the rug for Hetty to be able to pull some kind of antic at the end. |

I liked Hetty Wainthropp just for the fact that Patricia Rutledge was in it. I thought the stories were entertaining but not as good as KUA. BTW my ten year old daughter loves KUA.

Thank you both for your reviews -- they are much appreciated.
Maybe I will see if my local bookstore can order just a few episodes -- doesn't sound like I want to go overboard. Happy to hear that ten-year-olds enjoy KUA -- it is a funny show! Thanx again. Lee . |

The PBS station here occasionally shows it.It's an OK show,a bit of a light drama with a little humor mixed in.Keep in mind though the character she plays and the show is nothing like Hyacinth and "Keeping Up Appearances".
