Does anyone remember The All-New Captain Kangaroo, which aired in syndication in 1997? The revival of the kids show classic starred John McDonough as the titled character made famous by Bob Keeshan. The show was produced in Florida and tried to recapture the popularity of the long-running CBS show but the Treasure House shut down after one season.

I seem to recall reading about it before it premiered. Wasn't Bob Keeshan's Captain promoted to Admiral?

Keeshan had an opportunity to appear on the show as "Admiral Kangaroo", but he declined.
