Default DVD Releases for Maude is not that big a deal in 2012 because..

1. The entire series is complete on youtube.com

2. The show comes on every sunday on Antenna TV at 2am and 2:30am

So of course we all want a DVD release for obvious reasons but the show is not like it was in 2002 when it wasn't seen anywhere. Now you have the option of watching it on youtube or on TV every sunday.

Just wanted to pass on some information to make fans feel better about the lack of DVD releases

It's not the same because the TV airings are always edited (and sometimes they remove Maude's reactions because those are an easy edit that do not affect the plot; however IMO they are the best part of the show sometimes). Also, I am not in the habit of watching TV shows/movies on my PC, that's what my TV set is for. The occasional rare clip is ok; but watching full-length shows on a computer does not appeal to me.

I have no interest in Maude DVDs unless it includes Adrienne Barbeau in the nude!

Well you have to admit that 10 years ago it was worst because

1. It was no youtube and no chance of a quick look at the show

2. Antenna TV didn't exist at all and Maude was not airing anywhere

Now I;m not trying to say a DVD release is not a big deal but the lack of releases is easier to deal with in 2012 because of new technology and exposure on TV. I know for a fact unedited episodes are the best but atleast youtube and antenna tv can hold us over until the DVD's are released

Kind of like being at a job you don't want but sticking it out until that big moment arrives
