Default Beverly Ann/Andy or just the girls?

Would you prefer the episodes after Ms. Garrett left to have Beverly Ann or Andy, or just the 4 girls living together and dealing with life on their own with each other?

I like Beverly Ann. I think she added a lot of a special kind of comic relief that I don't think the girls could have provided alone. Andy's fine too so I'd probably keep them around. I didn't care for Pippa and George though so they would have never existed if it were up to me.

By then the show was so past it's prime years, it really didn't matter. The network still thought the girls weren't strong enough to carry the show on their own without a matriarchal figure so they brought in Cloris.

Honestly, the best idea the show had in it's later years was their idea for the spin-off that never was with Blair taking over as headmistress of Eastland. You take Lisa Whelchel and some of the young upstarts that were coming up in the industry at that time and put them together and you might have had something.

I liked Beverly Ann because I think Cloris is such a hoot. I liked Andy as a side character who we see working in the shop sometimes but when he was in every episode it was too much. Pippa was annoying and there were way too many characters by the time she showed up.

As for the Blair spinoff, I like Blair a lot especially when she is being strong, intelligent and noble. So I might have liked a spinoff based on her character. However, I didn't like a single one of the kids in the finale. None of them were the least bit interesting or cute, just irritating.

I would have liked to see what the male Eastland uniforms looked like. They probably looked the same as the girls, but with pants in lieu of skirts.

i personally like the years with beverlyann alot.i didn't mind andy or pippa either as they were more of backround characters who appeared in the episodes but the topics in the episodes were still mainly revolving around jo,blair tootie and natalie.beverlyann brought something to the show since she wasn't there to be the girls mother figure but more of a friend.as far as the storyline goes for beverlyann coming to live with the girls was mainly to take mrs. garrett's place in the store since the girls were getting busier in their lives with college and relationships so she needed someone to be at the store fulltime.i know many people do not like beverlyann but i personally did.i also like the fact that the writers didn't just have be a copy of mrs. garrett and that they let beverlyann be her own character.i liked the friendship she developed with the girls and that they didn't just have all the girls automatically like beverlyann and that they let the friendship of her and each of the girls develop over a period of her first several episodes and it wasn't rushed.
