TV Josh Bowman & Madeleine Stowe Gearing Up for "Revenge" Season 2

Josh Bowman & Madeleine Stowe Gearing Up for "Revenge" Season 2
June 14, 2012

"Revenge" ended its first season run on ABC with a big explosion, and Josh Bowman, who plays Hampton playboy Daniel Grayson, said he can’t wait to see how it all turns out when Season 2 premieres this fall.

The story went all over the place with my sister, Charlotte overdosing, Conrad coming in and finding her and me breaking up the engagement to Emily Thorne. It was a handful of things,” Josh told Access Hollywood at the Monte Carlo Television Festival on Wednesday.

But it was good, because it then gives options for Season 2, to what avenues to go down, and then obviously to keep the kind of intrigue for the audience.

And there was also the cliffhanger for Madeleine Stowe’s Victoria Grayson, who may or may not have gotten on the airplane, which blew up in the season finale, taking with it the evidence that would have proved the Graysons were involved in framing Emily Thorne’s (Emily VanCamp) father.

Speaking to Access, Madeleine said she doesn’t know yet what happened to her character, but she loved the cliffhanger.

It’s interesting, because when Mike [Kelley, ‘Revenge’ showrunner] originally wrote that, he just wanted a car to drive up to the tarmac,” Madeline said of how the scene nearly played out.

At the time, actually, when we were doing it, we didn’t know if the show was going to be picked up or not… And always go for the creatively strong choice and whether I return or not is sort of immaterial for me,” she continued.

I think, at least for that season’s end, that’s a wonderful, wonderful way to go and not only that, the repercussions for the entire family… At the end of the day, this is Emily’s story and all of her things have blown up in smoke, so to speak. I think it was just a really strong creative choice on his part.

While Victoria’s fate remains up in the air, Madeleine said there is one thing that will happen in Season 2.

The only thing we can probably bank on is that Emily’s mother is going to show up,” she said.

And apparently a wedding of some sort,” Josh chimed in.

Could it be wedding bells for Jack Porter and the pregnant Faux-manda (the nickname for the real Emily Thorne, who now goes by Amanda Clark)?

Could be Jack and Faux-manda. Could be mine and Emily… Who knows if me and Emily get back together or it heads toward me and Ashley pairing,” Josh said. “Who knows? You could be renewing your wedding vows.

I could be dead!” Madeleine laughed.
