Here are the first few minutes of the woefully awful beginnings of Wheel of Fortune. There are prizes,a puzzleboard, and Chuck Woolery; but otherwise it's an unrecognizable mess;Taped in September 1973 and no this has never been aired on TV:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0n896dobPzg

so any thoughts about this mess of an original pilot for "America's Game" from 1973?

The upload was fine, the pilot was what I was referring to. I can't believe it has 44 likes and no dislikes. By the way, is that supposed to be the headboard of a bed where the letters are?

upload wise i figured it was the latter all along. also did you notice that the theme song's pilot for Shopper's Bazaar was "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"?

Just skimmed the pilot. I dont know what that was. It looked all over the place. Btw, could the board where the answer was be any smaller? Geez, you need a magnify glass to see the letters.

i think you meant "could the board where the answer is could get any smaller"

oh and BTW: the solution to that small tiny puzzle was "HENRY KISSINGER" since this pilot was in 1973 it could be under the category "PERSON" but technically, i would have labeled that puzzle under the category "PROPER NAME" by today's standards but then again that's just me!

Because we see how "Wheel of Fortune" got its start and it has NEVER been released until now.
