Now that The 1st Season of Alice is available on DVD that leaves Chico and the Man as the only long running(4 seasons or more) sitcom from the 1970's without a full season DVD set.

It's also one of my top 10 favorite sitcoms, so I was really hoping to hear DVD news about "Chico and the Man." I'm happy for "Alice" but I would have much preferred "Chico and the Man" DVD news.

I agree with you Adamantium but hopefully SOMEONE in the powers that be has/will notice the same thing and do something about it!

Before now, WB wouldn't release Alice Season 1 due to low sales in the best of disc, but now they have. That should be a great sign of more forthcoming sitcoms DVD releases, including Chico.

The 4th season is widely considered the weakest for obvious reasons. They could do one of two things: Either release all 88 episodes in one complete series set, or release seasons 3 and 4 together.

Yeah, the Warner Archive has been releasing a lot of shows lately, so maybe Chico and the Man is coming soon. I wonder if going to their facebook page and requesting it might help.

They've said before that it would help to go to their facebook page, but they've also said there was a music license problem holding up Chico. Maybe if more people show an interest then they can resolve that issue.
