Thoughts from a new viewer! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I found this show inadvertantly through my 'love' of David Hyde Pierce b/c I read that his husband, Brian Hargrove directed some episodes. So I thought I would check it out and I really like it! I remember it being on prime time TV, but like Frasier I couldn't get into it at the time.

I started DVR'ing the episodes from TV Guide Channel but they've started with Season 2 so I've been watching Season 1 that I've gotten from Netflix.

I'm really starting to get into it and I'm just now on the last episode of Season 1 Disc 1!

It's been pretty easy learning the characters and so forth, and it has hilarious moments! In just disc one alone, I've seen a bunch of awesome guest cast members; of course my favorite would be DHP and Jane Leeves; who played Niles and Daphne in "Caroline and the Bad Back". It was the most adorable clip at the end of the show and it took place 'on Frasier', so they werent' actually ON the show.

And today in two different episodes I've seen Matthew Perry and Jean Stapleton. DHP is in another episode that takes place later in Season 1 and I so cannot wait to see that!

This is a very good show & so funny too. I never cared too much for the Julia character though.

Hmmm.. I'm not sure who Julia is. But I've only watched Disc 1 Season 1 so far!

I think it's probably the second season before Julia (Sofia Milos) shows up. She plays Richard's love interest.

I'm almost to the Julia episodes so that should be interesting to watch!

Hope you enjoy the Julia episodes. I always thought she was a terrible match for Richard though. Now if they had put Julia & Del together, that would have been better.
