Medical Marijuana Existed in 1978? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

In the Season 4 ep "The Inauguration" a man is arrested for possession of marijuana and he said he had a prescription which was shocking to me because I didn't think that prescriptions for marijuana existed in the 70's. I always thought it was something that started in the 1990's.

BTW, that guy really looked like he was stoned out of his mind. I wonder if there was some method acting going on there.

It was and i'm guessing still is used to combat side effects from chemo, mostly nausea and vomiting.

Gotta love method acting.
