Default Two Blue Skirts

On a few occasions, I have mentioned that, one of the reasons that I am as fond as I am of the third season episode "Samantha's Protest" was that I liked the flowing blue skirt that Julie wore for the duration of the episode. Well, I just came from watching an episode of "Different Strokes" over on You Tube. During part of this episode, Kimberly was also wearing a pretty blue skirt. In my opinion, Kimberly from that show was almost as hot as Julie from this one! Too bad that the actress who played her died a while back! Now if Lauri Hendler (Julie) dies any time in the near future, I will be completely heartbroken!

IN that episode "Cat's Story", Lara/Samantha looked attractive in her turquoise blue dress!

The first think that I would like to say is that I am very happy to see one of my threads finally get a reply after all of this time? You mentioned in your response liking the way that Samantha looked in her dress. Is Samantha your favorite of the girls? Julie was always my favorite. The time that I thought that her character really outdid herself was in the third-season episode "Samantha's Protest". Are you familiar with that episode? If you would like to get acquainted and you do not have the DVDs, it has been uploaded onto Youtube twice. In between the time that I started this thread and the present, I have posted several more message about what I liked about that episode. I would be very interested in what you think of any of these posts!

In the recent past, I responded to two of the threads on the first page. Now I have gone to the second page and found this one. I would be very interested in how any of the newcomers to this site feel about Julie in general and how she looked in her flowing blue skit in particular.

Is Samantha's Protest your favorite episode of all episodes? You sure do talk about that episode an awful lot.
By the way, I think Kimberly from DS (Dana Plato) was a billion times hotter than Julie from Gimme A Break. Just my opinion.

In the first place, my favorite episode of the whole series is the second-season episode "Katie Steels Julie's Jock". The thing that I liked most about that episode is the way that Julie looked in her designer boots! This is when my crush on her truly began! I believe that I already responded to a post by you about this episode. My next favorite episode was from the first season and it was the "Emergency". By the way, this was the first episode of the series that I ever saw. It was the classic "your purse, your purse" line that I truly feel in love with! Watching that little busy body go charging after her purse after Nell placed it on a gurney pole was too good to be true! What did you think of that episode? In even event, we now come to "Samantha Protest" which is my third favorite episode. After you get to that stage in season three, you can tell me what you think of it. Now let us move to what you said about thinking that Kimberly from "Different Strokes" being a better site for sore eyes than Julie from "Gimme a Break!" The only thing that I can say in response to that is that everyone has a write to his or her own opinion.

I also think Kimberly (DS) was better looking than Katie (GMAB)
I thought the episode where Katie has to go to the hospital because of the IUD was a pretty good episode.
I notice that by season three Nell has lost a lot of weight.

In the first place, thank you very much for sharing your observations with me. In the second place, you seem to really like Kimberly from "Different Strokes". Was that one of your favorite shows in the late seventies and early eighties. I watched in pretty regularly and thought that it was a decent series.

I like the episode where Kimberly dates an older man while she's pretending to be a 20 something year old. I think she was really only 16 at the time. Anyhow, I think Kimberly was beautiful, but she could sometimes be a lousy actress.
I just got through watching an episode of GMAB where an 18 year old Katie is dating a 35 year old man. It's not too similar as the DS episode because Katie is not lying about her age.
I think Kimberly was prettier than Katie, but Katie was the better actress. Just my opinions.

Julie looks prettier in blue pants in "Nell's Gifted Child" episode.

Katie looks prettier in blue dress in "The Robbery" episode.

Samantha looks prettier in that gorgeous blue dress in "A Cat's Story" episode.

I think Katie looks the prettiest no matter what she is wearing.

I think that Katie is pretty in an obvious sort of way. But when I see and hear how shallow and superficial her personality is, I get turned off right away. Especially when there is someone like Julie to compare her to. Julie's decency and sophistication always made me salivate!

I think Katie is pretty no matter what. She doesn't have to be wearing fancy jewelry or clothes, she was just a very pretty girl. Remember how dumpy she was dressed in "Katie Steals Julie's Jock"? When she met the jock guy, Katie was wearing dumpy jeans, a dumpy buttoned blouse over a tee shirt, and she had grime all over her face and hands. She still looked beautiful in my opinion.

In the past, we have corresponded about "Katie Steals Julie's Jock" and I have mentioned how is was my favorite episode ever. I find it interesting that you mention it again. It was early in the episode that Julie appeared in her very extravagant outfit. I drooled like I had never drooled before! I especially liked the boots that she was wearing! On the night that Steve comes by to pick up Katie for their second date, Julie is really feeling sorry for herself. Nell does the best job that she can of playing amateur therapist. She tell's Julie that she needs to use her own best strengths to be successful and get people to like her. Julie said "sure. When Steve comes over, I will unbutton my blouse and flash my 160 I.Q."! The thought of Julie unbuttoning her blouse just gave me one more reason to salivate!
