Default Every Sitcom has a "weak character" and for Rhoda that character is.........

"Mr. Martin BORINGstern

LOL

This man was a coffee table with eyes and I hate every scene he is in on the show. The last 2 eps has him has the feature and I;m dying waiting for the episode to end. Damm, Marty go away . Marty to Rhoda is like

Mike the Bartender on Three's Company

Jenny Willis on the Jeffersons

a Customer in Mel's Diner

The late Harold Gould was a talented actor, but Martin was a somewhat thankless role. Plus, he was absolutely overshadowed by the three women.

Or, as Rowlf the Dog on The Muppet Show once said, "That's the time to stuff cotton in your ears!"

I liked Martin,he was the complete opposite of Ida,he had to be and it was
believable that he went walk about, after needing a break from Ida!

Benny I found annoying, and the always funny Brenda became a bit of a drag

with Benny.
