Eek On "America's Got Talent", what do you think

about what that guy Timothy Poe did?For those who do not know, here it is in a nutshell. He told a sob story about being wounded inb Afghansatan and developing a stutter but the thing is,his story was fake,He may have sang beautifully, but he told a great big lie .It was all over the news. Now,everyone's mad:NBC,Howard Stern,Hoiwie Mandell,Freemantle Media ,a member of the U.S.Military,and the U.S Military.Any comments?

I think he will either be eliminated before Vegas or be eliminate in the shows. I do think it was disgraceful.

That aside and while I do think he sang great he reminded me of previous winner Kevin Skinner. Where is he now? That's my point that all these singers win and go nowhere. The only non singing only contest to win was Terry Fator and he's set for life. So is previous runner up Jackie Evancho and a few other runners up. But the singing winners, most of them went nowhere.

I totally agree. Same thing with Next Top Model, American Idol and other reality shows, you never see or hear them again. The runner up is always the one you see or hear again.

Or even the ones who don't win runner up. For example previous contestants Nuttin But Strings, Recycled Percussion, Fighting Gravity and a few others have Vegas shows. The Duttons have a show in Branson. I'm not sure about any from last year but I suspect Team iLuminate, the Silhouettes and even for that matter the Kinetic King will all get shows eventually if they haven't, while winner Landau Eugene Murphy will probably fade. That's not to say I want the singers to fade (I voted for Skinner and Murphy)it's just the nature of the beast. I watched a segment awhile back on Nightline and it profiled previous contestants on American Idol. So many are back where they started from.

To be honest at least this year there aren't a lot of strong vocalists like previous years, except perhaps FloJo's daughter and maybe even the opera guy. Most of the singers this year to me aren't strong enough to win and this year there are a lot of performers that I think are. Yes there are some good singers, but not a lot of competition this year.

I have no picks to win this year. Am kind of dissapointed. They let people thru that are not winner material. Howie puts them thru cause he feels sorry for them. So do I, but than the ones that have talent get eliminated, Am so confused.

I have a few I like tremendously this year. Most of them are the variety acts but I'm hoping no singers win this year.

I did a google on Kevin Skinner. He released a cd in 2010 which didnt chart. He had a show for several weeks in Vegas. His website is dead. From what I saw he does some small tours and thats about it.

I believe the same thing happened to Neal Boyd as well. Here they win and it goes nowhere. Same thing with most of the contestants on any singing show.

Interestingly I live not far from that one group that was on two years ago named Iron Horse, the Rockabilly band. I'm not sure if they are still performing but they are doing the EXACT same jobs as before, meaning they perform at the local festivals. The only difference is the flyers now say "featured on America's Got Talent".

I totally forgot about Neal Boyd.Seems these guys and gals need to try to get more backing while they are still on the show.

I feel bad for Big Barry, they gave the poor guy hope. He cannot sing, but Howard and Sharon are honest with him. Howie must really like him to keep him on the show. Yes I agree with someone who said Nick is not dressing great this year. He should consult with Steve Garvey on Family Feud. He's the best dressed host. Regis was my favorite too.
