Hey, what happened to Ellen? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I've got to ask, what do you think happened to Bob's sister Ellen? I really liked her, she was strong, independent and non-commital...or perhaps just unwilling to settle...

We never saw or heard anything about her again after the Warren Gorden Borden episode. Did she just go back to Cleveland and try to maintain a long-distance relationship with Howard, like she had said she would, or what? I find it kind of odd that she was suddenly gone without explanation, Howard was so crazy about her that you would think he would've been upset over the break up or something. You don't just forget about an engagement, and if it's broken, you usually explain it away somehow, like her previous engagement to Tobin...

And yes, I saw someone else's explanation about Bill's opinion of the relationship, but I still find the way she disappeared a little strange, after all, she was Bob's sister...look at it this way: Ellen was a re-occuring minor character for several seasons. Her being gone was never fully explained, meanwhile, Jerry's on again, off again girlfriend Courtney was in two episodes and yet we know what became of her...opinions?

Ellen just vanished midway through Season 4 with no explanation and she was never seen or mentioned again.
