Default What Stars Can You Spot on Car 54??

So, who all have you noticed appearing on Car 54, Where Are You?? (Particularly those who became famous later on)

I just watched an episode today which featured Hal Linden as a lawyer, and Judith Lowery (Mother Dexter from Phyllis) as a cleaning woman.

I've seen "All In the Family's" Jean Stapleton in the Season 2 episode.."Je t'adore Muldoon".

What I'd like to know is..... who is the Actor that appears in two season 2 episodes. In one he plays the "Actor" in the episode "Stop Thief", and in "The Curse of the Snitkins" he plays the Captain of the 12th Precinct.

It seems the show would only list a few of the guest actors in the ending credits each week, leaving off many.

I've also seen Jack Dodson who played Howard Sprague in "The Andy Griffith" show, and "Mayberry R.F.D.". He was in Season 2 episode 30... Snitkins

I was so surprised when I recognized Jean on Dennis The Menace, and now I'm anxious to see her on Car 54.

That is annoying about half the guest cast weren't credited back then! You can look up the entire cast of each episode on imdb, however.

Maureen Stapleton memorably played a gypsy in one episode. Alice Ghostley was in a few others as I remember. This series was shot in New York, and many of the guest players were from the New York stage, as they were on The Patty Duke Show, which was also shot in New York for it's first 2 seasons.

Jaime Farr and Barney Martin (Seinfeld) played gangsters.

Cool

Shari Lewis (sans Lambchop) appeared as Muldoon's date to the Brotherhood dance in a season one episode.

Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg from the Dukes of Hazzard) appeared in the same episode.

I don't believe the actor was Jamie Farr in "Here We Go Again" from season 2, it was an actor who resembled Farr... His name was Al Nesor.

Most of those who are not credited in the show are also not credited in IMDB in each episode break down, I wish it were that easy. The gentleman I refer to is not listed in the two episodes he played in. Not in the show nor the Car 54 IMDB episode list. In one he plays the "Actor" in the episode "Stop Thief", and in "The Curse of the Snitkins" he plays the Captain of the 12th Precinct. If you find that to be different please update this thread with the actors name. thanks!

Barney Martin played a priest as well in "See You at the Bar Mitzvah". The other episode he was in was "Toody Undercover"

Can you post a screen cap of the actor?

I'm not sure what is meant by "post a screen cap of the actor"???

He plays a character who is an "Actor" in the episode "Stop Thief", and they need him to play a part, and the 53rd precinct thinks he's an actual police inspector, not knowing that he's an actor, and in "The Curse of the Snitkins" he plays the Captain of the 12th Precinct who gives permission to Captain Bloc to transfer Snitkin to the 53rd from the 12th precinct.

A screen capture is a picture that is taken from a paused scene or freeze frame from a dvd.

I tried to figure out who this guy is through imdb, which lists the casts of each episode. But most of the non-credited actors aren't even listed there!!
