Dominic Monaghan Claims "Lost" Co-Star Matthew Fox "Beats Women"
5/30/2012 by Erin Carlson Dominic Monaghan has made starling claims against "Lost" co-star Matthew Fox on Twitter. Over the weekend, Monaghan -- who played Charlie on the ABC adventure show -- launched into an anti-Fox rant on Twitter after a fan named Becca requested he convince the actor to join the micro-blogging site. Monaghan's blunt response: "he beats women. No thanks." Becca's reply: "I KNOW IT WAS WRONG BUT WHAT?! WHAT ABOUT ALL THOSE GOOD TIMES YOU HAD TOGETHER?!" Monaghan: "how do you know we ever did? you don't know either of us.he beats women.not isolated incidents.often.not interested." In August of last year, Fox -- famous for his TV role as Dr. Jack Shepard -- made negative headlines after he allegedly punched a female bus driver in the groin; he denied her claims and charges were never filed. Earlier this month, Fox was arrested for DUI near his home in Bend, Ore. According to TMZ, sources close to Fox deny the allegations, adding that the actor has not spoken to Monaghan "in years." Reps for Monaghan and Fox did not immediately respond to THR's requests for comment. "It's very difficult to sue someone for speaking the truth," wrote Monaghan in a cryptic tweet on Monday night. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...n-fight-330975 |

Well, Fox has obviously got some problems, given the two incidents of the past year or so, but I find Monaghan's allegations very questionable.
If he really had evidence that Fox had assaulted a woman (or more than one woman), his responsibility would be to report that behavior to the police, not bitchily "tweet" it in response to a fan's question. If he's not willing to do that, his evidence must not be very strong.

I agree with everything you said. People are throwing stones at Fox based on Dominic's tweet, but where's the evidence? Does he want to pile trouble on to the trouble Fox already has? Why? What kind of "evidence" could he have? Did he SEE Fox assault a woman? More than one?
I get the feeling that Dominic resents that Fox has gotten into trouble in the past year but it hasn't gotten too much attention or wrecked his image, so he wants to contribute something that will help wreck Fox's image. Whatever Fox has done, I feel like the way Dominic has put this out there makes DOMINIC look bad. |
