Betty Draper Francis (January Jones) on "Mad Men"

We're not buying that Betty brings us a critique of the restrictions placed on mid-century housewives or a compelling commentary on the changing nature of gender roles.

Don't get us wrong, those are interesting topics, but her unchanging narcissism and her selfish petulance simply bore us to tears.

I thought her character was quite compelling. Especially considering where she started from in S1, I think her character has undergone a remarkable change.

I wouldn't put her in the category of worst characters at all. I think she is very believable.

I think that by the end of S5 Betty has become more of a 3 dimensional character. Believe it or not "back in the day" my mother had a couple of friends just like her.
