New Images from "The Walking Dead" Season 3
First Look at "The Walking Dead" Season 3's Michonne!
by Ryan Turek May 23, 2012 EW scored the exclusive: “The essence of the character - her personality, her motives, everything that makes Michonne Michonne - remains intact from the comics,” series creator Robert Kirkman tells the outlet. “But like a lot of things on the show, there will be little tweaks and differences here and there. We saw that her introduction is slightly different from how it was in the comic, and her interaction with Andrea is really going to be a really cool addition to the character that I think will get television viewers up to speed, and they’ll get to know her a lot faster than comic book readers did.” Shooting on "The Walking Dead" season 3 is underway. http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news...on-3s-michonne |

"The Walking Dead" Exclusive First Look: David Morrissey Makes His Debut as The Governor
Jun 7, 2012 by Natalie Abrams The Governor has arrived! The third season of "The Walking Dead" will feature the introduction of one of the most formidable villains on the AMC series: The Governor (David Morrissey), a character from Robert Kirkman's graphic novels who is the vicious leader of Woodbury, a small settlement of survivors. TVGuide.com has the exclusive first look at The Governor, who also becomes one of Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) greatest foes in the comic series. "Seeing 'The Walking Dead' come to life on AMC has been a real thrill for me, obviously, and moving into Season 3 I'm even more excited than ever because now I feel like we're really getting to 'the good stuff,'" Kirkman tells TVGuide.com. "Having The Governor in the mix is going to fundamentally change the show in all kinds of awesome and exiting ways. And David Morrissey totally rocks!" For those worried that AMC might be a diluted version of the villain who went on to take something, ahem, very important away from Rick in the comics, fear not! "The Governor in the show is definitely going to be The Governor in the comic," Kirkman told us following the Season 2 finale. "I think that he's definitely going to be a character that people love to hate and are absolutely entertained by, but also somewhat terrified of. He's definitely going to be a very important character and a very nuanced character. We are not going to be watering him down." http://www.tvguide.com/News/Walking-...n-1048647.aspx |

"Walking Dead" First Look: Where Has Merle Dixon Been All This Time?
Jun 13, 2012 by Natalie Abrams Merle Dixon is back! "The Walking Dead's" racist and hot-tempered brother of Daryl (Norman Reedus) is back in action for Season 3, as evidenced by this first-look photo AMC released on Wednesday. The last we saw of Merle (Michael Rooker), he had unceremoniously chopped his own arm off when he was handcuffed to a pipe on an Atlanta rooftop, lest he be eaten by the horde of zombies heading his way during Season 1. As we can see in the photo, Merle has a very interesting device now in place of his missing arm. Does he use it as a weapon? The more important question: Where has Merle been all this time? Presumably, Merle would want to join other vicious and bloodthirsty leaders, and with the introduction of The Governor (David Morrissey) on the horizon, it seems all too likely we'll find Daryl's brother in the town of Woodbury, where at least part of Season 3 will take place as we follow The Governor's exploits. The other part of the action, that we know of, will be at the prison, nearby where Rick & Co. were last seen at the end of Season 2. Still, Merle could be any number of places, including, but not limited to: Hanging out in the prison commissary, safe and sound in some other CDC, following Michonne (Danai Gurira) around, or part of Randall's (Michael Zegen) group of friends who have come looking for revenge. Suffice to say, Merle probably won't be too happy with T-Dog (Irone Singleton) since he was the one who dropped the keys to the cuffs, a mistake that resulted in Merle amputating his own arm. Ouch! http://www.tvguide.com/News/Walking-...3-1048837.aspx |

Merle is about as scary as those dang zombies. It should make for a hair-raising season.
