Default My School Went DARK!!!

Friday morning our school was without electricity for 3/4 of first hour and 1/2 of second hour!!!!!!!
My first class is in the center of the building meaning it has no windows."So we loaded up our packs and moved to P.E." Classroom that is!And played heads up 7-up!
Then I had the nerve to ask "Does the water fountain work on electricity?"I got no answer.
Oh yeah when we were in our real class without the windows everybody was making noise whne the lights went out and the teacher calmed us down. And she actually went to hit the switch when she knew good and well that there was no electricity!!!!!!
It was too cool because our real class was like COMPLETELY dark!!!!!I smacked a few people across the face when they started pannicking.Shoot we didn't do morning announcements/pledge of allegiance till the middle of third period.Picture that!I'm in the band hall doing the pledge of allegiance!!!!!That was weird morning!!!!!
But it was kewl!!!!!!
Too bad the lights didn't go out in the lunch room though........two words:FOOOOOOOD FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT

...Does the water fountain run on electricity?

Sounds like you had an interesting day at school, JT. Your teacher doesn't seem to be the 'brightest bulb in the box' but...

That happened at my school once so we had to sit for about two hours in the dark. But since the classroom I was in was on the outside edges of the building my teacher just opened the curtains and kept teaching.

That happened in my high school once. Most of the classrooms have no windows in them, which might sound like fun, but every classroom also came equiped with emergency lights. Bummer.

Sounds like fun!

And I hate those teachers that continue to teach during a situation like that. When we used to have drug searches at my old high school, I would always be in a class were the teacher would teach the entire time we were in there (most others would teach the normal lesson and then let us play games or watch TV during the remainder).

That happened a few years ago. In like 6th grade... I can't remember the details, but a squirell chewed through one of the power lines, so half the school had electricity and half didn't.
