She described the night in 1972 when she won best supporting actress for "The Last Picture Show" in detail. On the heels of her win she told the story of how she landed the job as Phyllis on "Mary Tyler Moore."

"Ed Asner, who played Lou Grant, used to say I was God's gift to men and we made an agreement that I'd have sex with him if he lost 32 pounds…don't you know he almost did, he lost 29 pounds but I think in fear of what could have happened proceeded to put it right back on."

They made mention of that on the Oprah Winfrey Mary Tyler Moore Show Reunion. I didn't know they REALLY made that bet all those years ago!
