TV "Desperate Housewives" Series Finale Does Big on ABC

"Desperate Housewives" Series Finale Leads ABC to Win
May 14, 2012
by Joyce Eng

The series finale of "Desperate Housewives" brought ABC a Sunday night ratings victory.

The two-hour episode drew 11.1 million viewers and a 3.2 rating in the adults-18-to-49 demographic — rising 19 percent from last week and a tying a season high.

It was also up a tad from last year's season finale.

I was sad the the housewives all moved away. The scenes of the gals playing poker seems so warm and wonderful. They mentioned they would love staying together and then with a few years all the gals have moved away. Now, what show shall I start to see?

I watched most of the series. I actually watched from the pilot for Eva Longoria ( ) But it was a good show overall. A couple of questions, though. The very end when that new girl moved to Wisteria Lane, that was to imply that she had secrets too, right? Just like the Housewives.

Why did Carlos make a big stink about telling the truth, yet he never did? Technically, Mrs. Mulusky took the fall. Btw, I really liked her on the show as well as Renee. At first, I didnt like Renee but she won me over.

I dont get why Bree was so angry at Tripp. How about a thank you? The guy got you off a murder charge, which you didnt even do.

Btw, did we ever find out what Mary Alice Young did? You saw a flashback with her and that nosy Mrs. Hoover but thats it.

I had thought the series finale was next week, glad I didnt miss it. Oh, and this isnt a question more like a comment. How about the fact that when Susan left the lane for the last time, you saw all the people who were killed, yet her main rival Edie, wasnt there. Talk about bad blood between Nicolette Sheridan and Marc Cherry. Ouch.

Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the ending. Susan and Mike were my favorite and I'm still bitter that he was killed and they didn't receive a happy ending along with the other longterm couples on the show. They pretty much treated Mike like an afterthought.
