Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Hudson to Guest-Star on "Glee"

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson will guest-star on the fourth season of Fox's "Glee", the network announced Monday.

Details about their roles were not released, but both will appear in multiple episodes, with Hudson appearing in seven, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly said on a conference call Monday.

This will be Parker's first return to television since "Sex and the City", which ended in 2004.



"Glee's" Season 3 finale airs Tuesday, May 22 at 9/8c.

The show returns in the fall, but will switch to Thursday nights at 9/8 following "The X Factor".

Chris Colfer let it slip today on "Live! With Kelly" that the newly announced guest-star Sarah Jessica Parker would be playing Kurt’s mentor on the fourth season.

EW has now learned that Kate Hudson, the other big star set for a "Glee" arc next season, will be playing a similar mentor-type role to Rachel Berry (Lea Michele).

Hudson’s role will have her singing but will also be very dance-heavy, which the actress should be able to easily handle as evidenced by her performance in the movie musical Nine.

Carrie Bradshaw, is that you? Sarah Jessica Parker will be playing a journalist on "Glee".

“Sarah Jessica Parker is gonna be running Vogue.com,” Ian Brennan, the co-creator and executive producer of "Glee", told AccessHollywood.com.

But that's where the similarities pretty much stop. Brennan described Parker's "Glee" character as frazzled, eccentric and hilarious. She'll also interact with both Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel (Lea Michele).

"It's gonna be good," Brennan said.



"Glee" Season 4 kicks off Thurs., Sept. 13 9 p.m. ET on Fox.

"Glee" guest star Kate Hudson is amping up the Season 4 sex appeal.

In this new photo released by "Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy, Hudson, who plays Rachel Berry's (Lea Michele) dance teacher, is busting some very intense dance moves.

Clad in black and gripping her partner tight, looks like Hudson's character will be teaching the NYADA students a little more than jazz hands.

Sarah Jessica Parker is putting her most fashionable foot forward once again — this time on "Glee" as Kurt's new mentor, Isabelle.

In this behind-the-scenes photo courtesy of Twitter-happy co-creator Ryan Murphy, fans can get an early first look at the show's new dynamic duo. Not only does Parker, a fashion icon since her days rocking Carrie Bradshaw's Manolo Blahniks on "Sex and the City", look radiant, but Chris Colfer is seen sporting a modern (and much more aerodynamic) new 'do.

Elvis would be proud!



Parker, 47, will recur this season as Kurt's boss at Vogue.com. She joins fellow A-list guest star Kate Hudson, who is playing Rachel's demanding new teacher at NYADA.

The new season of "Glee" premieres on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 9/8c on Fox.
