what things was Cheers spoofed in? I remember in Brotherly Love, Lloyd walked into a bar, said "Evening Everybody!" and they all yelled "NORM!"
imdb.com has the 2 Toy Story movies and Kingpin. im guessing the 2 TS movies cuz John Ratzenberger did voices in it. and Kingpin cuz Woody starred in it also, did anyone notice 2night Alan(a regular) had the name Mike and Paul had the name Glen? Doug |

i couldnt think of a kingpin line either(i cant think of where they did it in the toy story movies either!) but imdb.com said it did, so i dunno.
ive never seen the simpsons ep, but i found this: 114. Fear of Flying gs: Anne Bancroft (Voice of Dr. Zweig) Ted Danson (Voice of Sam Malone) Woody Harrelson (Voice of Woody Boyd) Rhea Perlman (Voice of Carla Tortelli) John Ratzenberger (Voice of Cliff Clavin) George Wendt (Voice of Norm Peterson) Homer gets banned from Moe's and while searching for a new place "where everybody knows his name" winds up with airline tickets. Therapy with a psychiatrist shows Marge that she's repressed something she saw her father do as young girl. b: 18-Dec-94 pc: 2F08 w: David Sacks d: Mark Kirkland lol now i wanna see it Doug |

hey that sounds very interest=ing,i definitly also really want to see it sometime, right now preferably, but it does sound very familer to an episode when i think it was carla who had a fear of flying and she went to see frasier for help and it turned out that frasier also had a fear of flying could that possibly be a spoff on the particular episode?

There was another Cheers spoof on The Simpsons. It was in the Flaming Moe's episode. Moe hired this well-educated blonde woman as a waitress. At the end of the episode, Homer asked Moe where she was and Moe said "She left to start her movie career." That episode also had a spoof of the opening of Cheers.

Another spoof was recently on the Drew Carey Show. I don't remember all of the details because I turned it on late, but John Ratzenburger made a guest apperence, and they had beer taps, and were talking about "how everyone seems to know your name here". Like I said I didn't see the whole episode, so I don't know what led up to that scene. But that was a spoof.

I have the Flaming Moe's song on CD. Here are the lyrics.
When the weight of the world has got you down and you want to end your life/Bills to pay, a dead end job and problems with the wife/But don't throw in the towel cuz there's a place right down the block/where you can drink your misery away/ at Flaming Moe's (Let's all go to Flaming Moe's./Lets all go to Flaming Moe's.)/ Where liqour in a mug/can warm you like a hug/ and happiness is just a Flaming Moe's away/Happiness is just a Flaming Moe's away. (End Song) Bar Crowd: Barney! Bartender: How's the world treating you, Mr. Gumbel? Barney: (burps loudly) |

I'm back from Vegas...d'ja miss me?
![]() This one isn't so much a spoof as it was just a quick mention. In "The Real Howard Spitz" (1998 movie starring Kelsey Grammer), KG's character is a mystery writer turned children's author. At the end of the movie, he's considering writing for TV, and says how he can write better than most of the stuff out there "A Boston bar, a psychiatrist on the radio..." Dulcey |

"Flaming Moe's" is one of the all-time great "Simpsons" episodes -- definitely keep an eye out for it if you haven't seen it before.
