Default Upload with No Comments

During the past few months, I have kicked around quite a few theories about why the pages on this site that I frequent get as little action as they do. One of the main points that I have made is that the shows whose pages I go to are shows that were popular with Generation X and that Generation X has moved on. This is my guess as to the main reason that even though the threads that I start get views, they get almost no replies. Well, the same holds true for the uploads onto You Tube. Two episodes of this series that I am especially fond of and that were uploaded some time ago are "Samantha's Protest" and the "Emergency". I was especially happy about the upload of "Samantha's Protest" because this was before a Canadian company had put the whole series on DVD and this was a season three episode and the American company had not gone beyond season one. I got to see this episode for the first time in well over a decade! By the way, the upload quality of this episode as well as the "Emergency" were very good. When these two were uploaded, they tended to get more than a handful of comments by people other than me. I managed to maintain some very interesting correspondance with some of the other viewers. My guess would be that this was because, at that stage in the game, there were still some Generation Xers still hanging around. In any event, it all died down some time ago. However, on April 19th, someone uploaded the first season episode "Julie's First" love. It is in two segments and I have never watched more than a couple of minutes of it. This is because (a) the upload quaility is terrible and (b) I already have it on DVD. In any case, I just came from visiting these two videos and they still have zero posts in the comments section! Just one more indication that the viewers of shows like this have gotten on with their lives!

Not to be a jerk, but I'm scrolling threw the Gimmie A Break section of this site and I keep coming across topics, by you, that have zero to do with the show. This section is flooded with them and a lot of them have the same statement, people look but do not comment.

If you're interested in a fish that grew too big or whatever that was about, then I sincerely suggest locating a platform for it. Because people come here to discuss Gimmie A Break, not blown up fish... which I thought was going to be about the famous fish getting vacuumed scene. No, it's about some childhood book of yours.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to be a **** here. But your discussions here should relate to the show, because folks come here to discuss the show. It's like if I were to start a thread in The Golden Girls section about how cool it is to play Grand Theft Auto. It's completely off topic and has no place.

Cheers.

In the first place, no one is saying that you are a jerk. I have no intention of calling you one. That being said, it has been a long times since I posted the thread about the goldfish and my memory of it is very vague. However, what I do remember mentioning in it is that the book was published in 1961 which is the year in which this show's Kari Michaelsen was born. I have started a lot of threads that have to do with other events that took place the same year that people from this show were born. I have also posted messages about events that took place the same year that a given episode of "Gimme a Break!" was shown. In addition to Kari Michaelsen, there are two other babes who were born that year that make me drool! If you do not already know who they are and you would like to know, please send me a personal message. Another thread that I remember posting that has to do with 1961 is called "John Rogers". This thread had to do with the fact that Kari Michaelsen was born the same year as the second and last child of Fred Rogers of "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood". I also tied in the fact that Mr. Rogers was mentioned on the episode of this show called "The Chief's Gay Evening". This was one of a rather small minority of threads started by me that actually generated a reply.

Honestly, it makes absolutely no sense to me. Sorry.

What do you mean it makes no sense? Somebody pointed out a time in which I started a thread regarding a book about a goldfish. I explained to this poster that, the thing about the book that made me think of "Gimme a Break!" is the fact that it was written the same year that Kari Michaelsen who played Katie was born. I then went on to mention the fact that there were two other babes that I admire who were born in 1961 which is the year that Kari was born. After that I mentioned a man named John Rogers' who was born that year too. Finally, I mentioned the fact that, in addition to being born in 1961, he also ties into "Gimme a Break!" in that his father Fred Rogers was mentioned on a second season episode. What about any of that are you unable to make sense out of?

I'm not angry and I'm not hostile. I just think it best I steer clear of your threads from now on because I can't make head nor tails out of them.
