TV '30 Rock' to Be Renewed For A 7th And Final 14 Episode Season

It looks like NBC‘s 30 Rock will be back for a likely abbreviated seventh and final season. I hear the Emmy-winning comedy has closed deals with its key high-level writers to return for what is expected to be a final season of 13-14 episodes. Among those who have signed on to go back are co-executive producers Jack Burditt and Josh Siegal & Dylan Morgan.

Well I have no doubt now that the Office will be back next season.

No not yet, it seems NBC and the cast are deadlocked in contract negotiations.

13 eps now. I know it's 30 Rock's time, but just 13 eps is bull****. I would've liked a complete final season. Screw NBC and its overhaul. I hope NBC gets cancelled.

FWIW at least with 13 episodes they can make those episodes really good. The show has definetly been in decline the last few years. I still like the show, but better to quit while ahead.

I'll never understand this decline some people seem to mention. Last season was probably its best. 7 seasons is a great run, I just think we deserve a full final season.

I don't think there's been a decline either. Season 5 was one of my favorites and Season 6 has been almost as good.

I'd love a full season but hey, the shortest season (Season 2) was the show's best because there was no filler. Sometimes I think shorter seasons are better for quality. Still not going to lie and say I didn't wish we were getting a full 22 though.

I only saw a couple episodes from this season. Seasons 1-4 were so good. I think it is more a consistency thing. There were few weaker episodes early on. Still some good ones now, but more average ones thrown in.

That's how some good shows are...they should quit before it gets stale. "30 Rock" is doing the right thing..."The Dick van Dyke Show" is another show that did this.

To me Season 4 was the show's weakest. Seasons 5/6 are much better. I like Season 4 but I think it's the most inconsistent and my most of my least favorite episodes come it.
