Jason X Director James Isaac Passes Away at 51

Some sad news this morning as it appears that director James Isaac (Jason X, Skinwalkers, and Pig Hunt) has passed away at age 51.

Isaac was heavily influenced by David Cronenberg and also did special effects work for eXistenz (as well as non-Cronenberg films Virtuosity and House 2: The Second Story).

This morning screenwriter Todd Farmer (who wrote Jason X) tweeted:

“RIP Jimmy Isaac. A wonderful man, husband and father. I never tear up. I thought.”

No official cause of death has been released.

Our sincere condolences go out to his friends and family. Put on Jason X today.

RIP, fan of both The Horror Show, and Pig Hunt, when I first watched Pig Hunt I was happy to see he was still making movies, sad that he won't be making more.

I wonder if he was perfectly healthy, but died anyways for no reason?

Various sites have since reported that he died from a rare form of blood cancer.
