Interesting thoughts on NBC. I wouldn't mind that schedule at all, although I almost think the new comedies should be put by themselves on another night and the current 4 should remain on Thursdays. With CBS supposedly expanding to 2-hour comedy on Thursdays I think Thursdays are pretty much shot for NBC anyway, so if they're going to launch new comedies they might as well try the easier Tuesday or Wednesdays. Or, maybe move one of the Thursday shows to Wednesdays at 8, put a new comedy at 8:30, and maybe slot one of the other new comedies behind The Office.
I also think either Whitney or Up All Night might get a pity half-season renewal next year, just as a save-face move for NBC since they haven't had a comedy make it to a second season since Community in 2009. |

Here's our NBC preview for those who haven't seen it:
http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2012/0...3-upfront.html Late word is Save Me is the second comedy to be picked-up. Female centric comedy starring Anne Heche. Possibly pairing with 30 Rock? Also New Normal and drama Revolution is picked up. |

Deadline is reporting Friday Night Dinner is likely not going forward and that Whitney's renewal chances are slim. A little surprised about FND, not so much with Whitney though.

I would give the Roseanne sitcom a chance even though I'm not her biggest fan anymore. The rest doesn't interest me that much.

I think whoever is in charge of NBC programming needs to be fired. I mean look at the hits on ABC. Modern Family, Subergatory, Dont Trust the B..., Revenge etc.
CBS has Mike and Molly, 2 Broke Girls etc. What does NBC have? The schedule doesnt look that appealing to me. |

the shark tank facebook account a few months ago confirmed they were back next season as they are already casting people for next season, unlike this year where they had to split time with EMHE, they dont have to worrry about that next year and can produce more episodes.. remember they added more episodes to this years order causing those odd repeats runs last month b/c they had a smaller order initially but ratings were solid enough for them to produce a few more later on.. i fully expect a regular season sized order for them next season

So far, CBS has picked up no new series for next season. I would speculate that it would be the final season for Rules of Engagement, How I Met Your Mother, and Two and a Half Men. I'll disagree with Pavan on CSI Miami being dumped after this season. There was speculation that at least one of the CSI spinoffs will be dumped after 2011-12 season. By the look of its last episode, CSI:NY is the one not returning, so please dump NY instead of Miami?

James28: How I Met Your Mother is already renewed, as mentioned in our preview, and Two and a Half Men just recently wrapped two-year deals for their stars so CBS will announce a two-year pick-up soon.
Right now word is CSI NY is coming back over Miami. From insiders, not my thoughts. |

Sir, please do not start an argument/dispute. I'm not gonna agree with those "insiders". CSI: NY cannot return after this season. It's done. If NY is renewed, then it'll again have to face the challenge of crafting a season finale which could also serve as a series finale. The writers of the show had to do this for the second season in a row, and I just do not think there will be a third occurrence of this. The eighth season finale (and essentially the final episode of the series) involves Mac fighting for his life after getting shot and the team having to bring the shooter to justice. Can the series end with that? Regardless of how the finale turns out, I'd rather cancel NY than Miami. We won't find out for sure until tomorrow. Please, no season 9 for NY. Just let it go.

That's cool. I said it was *my* most-watched network though.
