NFL legend Junior Seau Found Dead - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

NFL legend Junior Seau was found dead in his home in Oceanside, CA ... and cops are investigating a shooting ... multiple law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

Seau was 43-years-old ... and leaves behind 3 kids and an ex-wife.

Cops are currently at Seau's home -- located in San Diego County -- and were seen talking with a man who was inside the house and appeared distraught.

We're told Seau sent text messages to his ex-wife and 3 kids yesterday saying, "Love you." We're told they all responded and didn't suspect anything was wrong.

Sources close to Seau tell us family members didn't see any signs of depression in recent weeks.

Looks like a lot of former athletes, whether they were the big names or the fringe players, have trouble coping in the real world.

This breaks my heart. If any of you are dealing with severe depression, please don't keep it to yourself. Tell someone. You could be saving your own life.

There's evidence that concussions and other types of head trauma lead to suicidal behavior. I've read a lot of studies about this in recent years with regard to the NFL.

Police are saying it was a suicide, apparently he shot himself in the chest.

I think he shot himself in the chest so his brain can be examined for brain damage. Not sure if it was specified in the will or if he had one.

I'm sure most of you are aware the Junior Seau is the 8th player from the 1994 team that went to the Super Bowl to die. And that doesn't include some coaches ex-wife and daughter.
