Default The Trend Continues

The trend that I am referring to is that of the only page that I frequent that has been getting any action lately is "Happy Days". After I post this comment, I will be the most recent person to post on any of the threads on the front page of this section. As of now, I am the most recent person on every thread except the very bottom. This one will push that one to second-page! Most of the threads on the front page are failed attempt by me to start some conversation about this fine series! I am really fresh out of ideas! Two other pages that I have really racked my brain to start some conversation have been "Mad About You" and "Caroline in the City". Take a look at how much success I have had in the recent past! But for some reason, "Happy Days" manages to get a post or two almost every day. One thing that I would really be interested in feedback on is peoples' ideas about what there is about "Happy Days" that makes it any different than any of these other has-been shows including "Gimme a Break!".

For starters, Happy Days was a much bigger hit than Gimme a Break! ever was. So the average person is more aware of the existence of the former than the latter. Right or wrong, Happy Days is a part of pop culture history, while Gimme a Break! is mostly forgotten. I can't remember the last time it was even on TV (USA Network in the mid-'90s, maybe?) HD, on the other hand, hasn't left American television in nearly forty years. Right now, it's being rerun on both cable (The Hub) and broadcast television (Me-TV).

The same can be said for Caroline and the City and Mad About You. When was the last time either of those two shows were available in syndication? And have they become part of American culture like Happy Days has?

The only thing that I have to say about this situation is that I am so happy to have finally come up with a topic that someone actually thought was worthy of a response! Wow!

If you read the first post on this thread you will see that it was about my curiousity about why the "Happy Days" page still seemed to be going reasonably strong while this page and the other two pages that I tend to frequent were virtual dead zones. I think that the response that the poster after me gave offered some very interesting food for thought. However, at this stage in the game, it seems that even "Happy Days" is tapering off! It has been at least three days since anyone has posted anything there. In this time period, there have been a few other posts on this page by people other than me. I have done what I could to offer my input on whatever topics other people have raised. And for the record, since I started this thread, there has not been a single post by anyone other than me on the pages of "Caroline in the City" or "Mad About You". And this is not for want of trying. I have racked my brain trying to think of new and interesting things to say about these two fine shows! Earlier today, I have also made two new posts on this page. One was a start of a new thread and one was a response to an old one. Now I am bringing this thread to the top to see if anyone might be interested in revisting this topic.
