Show creator Carl Reiner, age 90, says picking these 20 episodes from 150-plus was like choosing the favorite of his three children. From the series, centering on comedy writer Rob Petrie (Dick Van Dyke) and his wife, Laura (Mary Tyler Moore), Mr. Reiner chose "Gesundheit, Darling" because of the 25 different sneezes Mr. Van Dyke improvised. Mr. Reiner loved the subject of "Ray Murdock's X-Ray," based on the late Mike Wallace and his infamously grueling interviews. "Baby Fat," he says, was drawn from co-writer Garry Marshall's experience secretly helping a Broadway comedian with jokes.
