Details, Cover for The Walking Dead Issue #100
by Spencer Perry April 13, 2012 Ever since the ever popular "The Walking Dead" television show, and the completely insane prices that the comics are going for, I wondered how long it would take Image to jump on the variant edition covers for the series. Well, in my opinion, they picked a good place to try it out. For the 100th issue of The Walking Dead that hits shelves in July it will have a whopping nine different covers for the centennial issue. Charlie Adlard will be providing the regular cover, a wrap around and a special chromium cover. In addition to the series artist these high profile names will be contributing to the mix: Todd McFarlane, Sean Phillips, Marc Silvestri, Bryan Hitch, Frank Quitely and Ryan Ottley. Quite the assortment of artists that will bring something really cool to a special issue. http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news...dead-issue-100 |

The Walking Dead #100 Has Insane Pre-Order Sales
by Lonmonster June 27, 2012 Two weeks from today The Walking Dead #100 will grace comic and book store shelves everywhere. We all know the huge hype surrounding this huge issue, but it’s bigger than anyone thought. Thus far pre-order sales are estimated to be a whopping 350,000 copies. To top it off, the entire Walking Dead franchise (graphic novels, single issues, board game, etc.) now makes up half of Diamond’s entirety of products distributed. Without a doubt this is the most popular comic around these days. Get ready for it. Bleeding Cool reported that people were afraid of the future of Diamond, saying that due to low comic sales, the company may be in danger. Apparently they now have The Walking Dead to thank for easing their worries away. Although the pre-order sales are so massive, and hitting in time for San Diego Comic Con, you can be sure the book will sell out, and there will be a re-print. Who know how many issues Image will sell with this milestone. http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/31...e-order-sales/ |
