Awesome to see Brice Beckham (of Mr. Belvedere) in there. He looks great for his age I think.

Are we STILL discussing homosexuality? It was decided long ago by the masses that there is a big difference between hating the act it self (something I couldn't even be allowed to describe here; it's so twisted), and NOT hating the homosexual. Hate is wrong. No one on this planet should be HATED because they are same sex oriented. Period. Most people's problem is with the ACT itself, most consider it to be quite disgusting and the ONLY reason people take a stand on it one way or the other is that more and more are coming out of the closet on a HOURLY basis. To which I say, I LOVE YOU, MAN. Now could you not expect me to either shake your hand or hug you or even touch you in any way shape or form and PLEASE not be offended because of that. You want others to tolerate you and your personal choice, therefore you must tolerate other's people's choice to totally and fully disagree with what it is that you are doing, without making it a PERSONAL CONFRONTATION.

The problem with Kirk Cameron isn't so much his opinion, it's that he shoves his Christian beliefs down other peoples' throats. He also got people fired from the show, who he found offensive as well as Producers who gave him his start.

And if I'm not mistaken, I think he even went so far out of his way to have certain episodes of Growing Pains rewritten, because they didn't fit with his Christian beliefs.

That's exactly the kind of stuff the ex-child stars in that video are talking about.

Since I'm with Kirk on this, I watched the video on mute. But I only recognized Christine Lakin, since I've never watched the other shows. Did they even say who the black guy was?

I don't understand why everyone that is opposed to homosexuality is so focused on the "act." When you think of homosexuality, why is the "act" the first thing that comes to mind? I'm gay and when I think of a straight person, my first thought is not how disgusting their "act" is. Heterosexual sex is something I would never engage in, but I'm certainly not disgusted by it. It comes naturally to them, just as gay sex is natural to us.

The fact that more and more gay people are coming out of the closet, again, has nothing to do with the sex. It's not like they're coming out and saying, "Hey everyone, guess what? I take it up the ***!" Gays are fighting for respect, tolerance, and equality and quite frankly, none of that has to do with sex. We are human beings and there is more to us than how we have sex.

In regards to contact, how could a gay person not be offended if you won't even shake their hand? What are you afraid of? Do you think we don't clean up after sex? Do you think you'll catch our "disease?" What if someone refused to have any kind of contact with you simply because you were straight? Can you honestly tell me that wouldn't offend you? I'm sorry, but that is just ridiculous.

If you're talking about the beginning of this video, that would be Kenn Michael, aka Kenny Blank from WB's The Parent 'Hood.

I also recognize:

Christine Lakin - Step by Step, who IMO looks really hot here!

Brice Beckham - When I last saw his FB and MySpace pages, I thought he was still wearing glasses for a little while. And it seems like he's kept his sharp sense of humor intact all these years considering what he just said about Kirk in this video.

Josie Davis, who played Sarah Powell from the syndie years of Charles in Charge.

Jeremy Licht of Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family whose wife was a contestant on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader.

Particularly true with Julie McCollugh, whom Kirk gotten fired b/c of his dislike of her past with posing for Playboy. Even to this day she still hates his guts and I wouldn't blame her one damn bit.

And no question about him forcing script re-writes b/c of his behavior.

He gotten producers Gunztelman, Sullivan and Marshall fired when he phoned in to the ABC brass about them being pornographers in his eyes, which is what led to Dan Wilcox replacing the trio for the 7th and (very awful, IMO) final season. And sadly, one of them was actually busted for child pornography charges recently.

Plus, at least three of his former GP co-stars also criticized his recent behavior not too long ago. Bill Kirchenbauer, Tracy Gold and Alan Thicke all criticized his recent behavior.

Recognized all those and Keith Coogan (Grandson of Jackie Coogan) On tv, he might be best known as Jeffrey Burton from The Waltons. At the time, he was credited as Keith Mitchell.

Thanks for pointing him out to me. I couldn't put a finger on where I knew him from for awhile.

I've never seen "Growing pains" (it maybe didn't even make it to Sweden), and since I'm not familiar with the show, I'm not going to comment about what happened there (but if one of those producers actually got busted with child pornography, even if that was years later, Kirk might have been on to something). But I agree with what Kirk Cameron has said recently.

By the way, I also agree with the poster, who said that Christine Lakin was hot.

I think that when he said homosexuality is 'destructive' that pretty much turned me off to whatever else he was going to say about the subject. He makes it sound like if you're gay or lesbian you will end up regretting it or going to hell, and that's a horrible way to make people feel. Just sayin'.

I had heard about him getting people fired but I hadn't heard about him getting certain episodes rewritten. From what I remember, Growing Pains was one of the first shows I ever watched to have 'swear' words (like "damn' or 'hell') written directly into the script. I remember thinking that this must be some sort of new trend on television because prior to that I'd only heard words like that in movies that were edited for television and so forth. I'm surprised he allowed words like that to be said!

That was very well stated! I'm straight but I admire you for speaking up for yourself and for others.

You talk like how people used to be before society became educated about how exactly HIV is spread.

Are you afraid of "catching something" if you were to shake a homosexual's hand?

You speak of sexual behavior that's "twisted", there are many things that straight people do in the bedroom that's also regarded as "out of the norm" by most of society. Like eating each others sh*t for example.

Would you be "cool" being around people who engage in any form of sexual behavior that you find "twisted"; or is it just gays?

It really shouldn't matter what consenting adults decide to do with each other, as long as no laws are broken and no one's rights are being violated.
